  Monkey Island Summer Fete 2010

The Monkey Island Summer fete, held at the Farmers Arms, Wellington Heath on Saturday 10th July, was a tremendous success. With glorious sunshine, fabulous setting, the community spirit set the afternoon off with a buzz in the air. Jason Dennis, Corporate Manager for the County Ambulance Trust cut the ribbon at 3pm.

This year £550 was raised for the County Air Ambulance Trust.

  Tandem Skydive

Karen Bannister presents a cheque to Amanda McWalter (from CAAT) for £800 raised by her tandem skydive which took place at the Cornish Paracute Club (www.cornishparachuteclub.co.uk) in Perranporth, Cornwall.

The children on the photo are her son Christian aged 6, Jamie Rock aged 5 and Sidney Whittinghton aged 6.

 

  The 2010 Thomas Knight Runforfun

The 2010 RUNFORFUN in memory of Tom Knight took place on Sunday 4th July. Over 200 people took part and Tom's Mum, Lesley Bougourd said: 'I would like to say a huge thank you for everyone that took part in the event. It is always a great tribute to my Tom and the impact he made on the people that knew him and loved him. For that I am truly grateful.
'I would also like to thank my lovely friend's Amanda Mcwalter and Andrea Gibbons who work tirelessly for the County Air Ambulance all to of Tom's school mates came to do the walk along with lots of familiar faces who always support our fund raising.'

A new helipad has been launched at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic and District Hospital NHS Trust (RJAH) in Oswestry.
